Connecting your eBay Store

CONNECTING YOUR eBAY STORE

You can connect your eBay store to your Vroom Classics store to help streamline your catalogue and inventory management. When you connect your stores, you synchronise your product listings (catalogue) and your inventory levels across both stores.

This is an efficient way to get started on Vroom Classics as well: if you wanted to manage your stores separately but want a faster way to build your Vroom Classics catalogue, you can synchronise your product listings from eBay to Vroom Classics, then disconnect your stores. Now you can manage your stores totally separately, including tweaking your listings to suit your two stores' objectives.

Benefits of Connecting to your eBay store:

If you use eBay as your primary or major online sales channel

  1. Real-time inventory Sync: Ensure your product inventory is always up to date across your eBay and Vroom Classics stores
  2. Effortless product catalogue Sync: Keep your Vroom Classics product catalogue up to date with your eBay store by triggering synchronisations either manually or automatically
  3. Custom pricing rules: Set different pricing rules for products imported from eBay to match your marketplace strategy.

Caveats:

  1. The product listing synchronisation is one-way: from eBay to Vroom Classics. Changes you make on eBay will reflect on Vroom Classics, but not the other way.
  2. The inventory synchronisation is two-way: if inventory levels are changed on your eBay store, the change will reflect in Vroom Classics. If an order on Vroom Classics consumes inventory, we will send a "decrement" command to eBay telling eBay to reduce the available inventory quantity by the decrement amount (i.e. we won't overwrite eBay with a new number, we will only tell eBay to reduce the onhand by the quantity consumed by the Vroom Classics order)
  3. The connection setup is robust but not trivial, so read this guide first to determine if this one-time investment will pay you the dividends you seek.

To enable Product Auto-Sync, navigate to Seller panel > Configuration > eBay Configuration, enable the Auto Sync new products option, then click ‘Save’.
