3D Printing Guru Partners with Vroom Classics to Help Solve the NLA Headwinds

Vroom Classics is beyond grateful to announce that we have partnered with Jim Builds, a guru of 3D printing parts and accessories for the classic car market.
Jim has been running his 3d printing business for several years, and has built a remarkable online presence through his eponymous YouTube channel. An owner and lifelong fan of the classic Ford Escort, he started by designing and printing parts for his own Escort. Later, as his work matured and his confidence grew, he started supporting fellow club members with the challenges that they are facing. He has gone from strength to strength, and now we're grateful to call him our friend and partner.
"A CAD engineer by trade and training, Jim has both the hard skills and the experience to get 3D printing right. He is no amateur in a shed, that's for sure."
Jim is a design engineer by trade and training, and is an expert of Computer-Aided Design (CAD). This expertise, combined with a natural curiosity and problem-solving bent, logically led him to 3D printing parts that he wanted for his Escort. What's certain is that Jim is no amateur trying his luck in his garden shed, using a 3D printer he bought at Argos. Jim is a serious, competent professional, and the quality of work speaks for itself.
Jim is able to create brand-new, bespoke designs to match your specifications; reverse engineer a part or accessory that is no longer available (and not legally protected obviously - no copyright or IP violations here, thanks!); or design a modified version of an OEM part that just doesn't work as it should - and then print it for you.
"3D printing complex parts to fit an old car is unavoidably an iterative process - to make the part fit the car as it should - but Jim's abilities mean that iterations are drastically reduced, even eliminated."
The really hard part of 3D printing is the 3D CAD design modelling. Get that right, and your print will be a good 'un, and Jim knows how to get this crucial part just right. That said, even with expertise and experience like Jim has, this remains a creative process: this means that it's iterative. You'd be lucky to get it right the first time, but with good design inputs your chances of first-time success are very high thanks to Jim.
Welcome Jim, and thank you for joining our journey!
