“A Legend’s Unexpected Final Race”
This drawing captures the legendary Brazilian, Carlos Pace, racing the Brabham BT45B during his final F1 race at the 1977 South African GP
Pace’s career was cut tragically short soon after he competed in the 1977 South African GP at Kyalami. He was killed in an aircraft crash just two weeks after this rrace, in which he finished a frustrating - by his standards - in the race. His status as a legend are confirmed by the circuit at Interlagos being renamed for him, and in 2024 his remains were moved to rest forever at the circuit now bearing his name
