The tester has a probe end that is immersed into the brake fluid and can be used regularly for brake maintenance. The results are displayed using three colours - green, yellow, and red - to indicate the percentage of water in the brake fluid. A green colour indicates less than 1.5% water, which is considered to be okay. A yellow colour indicates between 1.5% and 3% water, which is considered to be marginal.
