Michael Schumacher in the 1991 Jordan 191 - Limited Edition Giclee Print
"An auspicious debut."
This drawing captures Michael Schumacher making his F1 debut in the Jordan 191 Hart at the 1991 Belgian GP at Spa-Francorchamps. Having been drafted in from Sportscars at short notice to replace the imprisoned Bertrand Gachot, Schumacher outqualified his vastly-experienced team-mate Andrea de Cesaris to start the race in 7th position. He never saw the chequered flag, however, returing after one corner with a burned out clutch. The rest is history.
